I’m Dr. Kate Rodriguez, a licensed professional counselor supervisor, forensic evaluator, and Latina business owner with a PhD and fifteen years in the mental health trenches. On paper, I’m the expert you hire to navigate the heavy stuff. In reality, I’m a woman who has balanced the weight of a doctorate, a group practice, grief, and motherhood, only to realize that success often comes with a nervous system stuck in Fight, Flight, or Freeze. I don't just study burnout, I know the view from the bottom of the pit, and I have real life examples of people who have clawed their way out.

I started the Overachieving S#tshow* because I’m tired of seeing brilliant high-achievers pathologize their own exhaustion. We are told to 'self-care' our way out of systemic burnout, and frankly, it’s a s*#tshow. This podcast is the real-talk recovery home for high-achievers who are done with the fluff. We’re cutting through the noise to discuss what is really behind the success stories. We talk about trauma, boundaries, and cultural context with a side of dry humor and authenticity.
